  1. I would love to see Dan Baird (ex of Georgia Satellites) or Joan Jett.

I was told that Pat Benetar was one of the acts this year but I cannot confirm this.....I would love to see Huey Lewis and the News...

    ReplyDelete
  3. Why not bring those guys from Livingston place who put on the "famous KISS concert" on Halloween yo do a show at the concert series.

    ReplyDelete
  4. "to do a show" ^^^^^^^^

    ReplyDelete
  5. Bring jeff martin back

    ReplyDelete
  6. So far, Kansas and Foreigner are playing artpark this year so that rules them out for Lockport.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Jeff Martin is back with Tea Party. Would love to see that! They are always well-supported here.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Charlie Daniels Sept 4th @ Artpark so cross him off as a lockport hopefull.

    ReplyDelete
  9. iam thinking 38 SPECIAL

    ReplyDelete
  10. I wonder if Klear will be one of the openers again. Would be nice if they got another MC for the show too. Jim McGee from 97 rock sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Jeff Martin with The Tea Party were just here last year. Though Jeff always puts on a good show. The solo show here a few years back to close out the season was one of my favorite Lockport shows so far.

The Tears for Fears show was also a nice surprise two years ago. I was not sure what to expect put they blew me away with their sound, stage presence and overall makeup of their set list.

    ReplyDelete
  12. How do you go about getting your band onto one of these shows? ..Even if it's just to be the dark/curtain opener.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Ace fREHLEY FROM KISS WOULD BE GREAT. He has a great band Frehley's Comet.

    ReplyDelete
  14. If they can't get Ace, they can always get those fake KISS guys from Livingston Place like a previous poster said, LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  15. obviously we have another radio dj who wants the gig... grow up

    ReplyDelete
  16. Tom Bowerly @ WBEN

    ReplyDelete
  17. How about all different bands... not repeats from years past!

    ReplyDelete
  18. I agree about having different bands. Our Lady Peace is playing the Hard Rock Series at the Falls this Summer so no Lockport for them :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. Steve Miller Band July 31 at Artpark

    ReplyDelete
  20. Rumor has it that Mike Tucker was going to be headlining ALL the shows this season and Dave Ulrich will be opening for him.

    ReplyDelete
  21. what about some country bands like rascal Flatts, Zac Brown Band, Carrie Underwood, Darius rucker, Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift, Lady A

    ReplyDelete
  22. Taylor Swift....hmmm, if we are talking country bands let's be realistic. Thompson Square, Eric Church, Sara Evans, Little Big Town. The one's you listed are not at the point in thier career where they would play a free show

    ReplyDelete
  23. My early guesses included Train, Loverboy, George Thorogood, Rusted Root's return, Boston,The Romantics, 54-40

    ReplyDelete
  24. 54-40 is playing the Hard Rock series in the Falls this summer also. As for Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood or Lady A, I don't think the promoter or the sponsors can come up with enough money to get them here.

    ReplyDelete
  25. 1) Last year only 1 out of 8 shows was one from a previous season of the 10yrs the series has been around. I thought last year was a great mix.

    2) Past articles in the LUSJ have reported that the promoter does not see the same general appear (and thus concession money) from country acts. This is the reason they are rare (Gretchen Wilson was the last in 2010).

    3) In the past few years we have seen bands coming through in a "Warmup" gig for their eventual tours (Tears for Fears, Tea Party, The Cult, etc)

    4) Leaked information has become very few and far between since we started tracking the lineup ahead of the official announcement here in 2009. Waiting waiting....

    ReplyDelete
  26. BOB WIER. Don't dominate the rap jack

    ReplyDelete
  27. So much for showing up early to get a front row spot since someone came up with the bright idea of giving the first 30 feet of space in front of the stage for the VIP's. OK now how do I get a VIP pass?

    ReplyDelete
  28. It seems like it might be easier to get the missile launch codes from the President than to find out early whos going to be playing the series.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Artpark has a space in front of the stage, I assume that is where they came up with the idea. It makes sense to please the sponsors, they are the ones actually paying for the show and the VIP area next to the stage has few spots where you can see the show.

Country does not have broad appeal, it is polarizing, people either love it or hate it, plus the local country stations have a lock on promoting country acts. Gretchen Wilson was persona non grata with the industry because she started her own label and moved towards a harder rock sound. Because of the 90 days 90 miles rules (an unwritten rule in the industry prohibits different promoters from booking the same act within 90 days in the same market) Country acts will opt to play on triple bills at Darien Lake or the Taste of Country so they can curry favor with local radio stations.
As for finding out who is playing, go to Pollstar, start looking at Detroit's summer concerts. It's a similar market and many acts book the NY market right before or after playing Detroit.

    ReplyDelete
  30. As long as there's a beer truck out there selling overpriced beer, you can have the Salvation Army Marching Band on stage and as long as it's free, people will show up.

    ReplyDelete
  31. thought the moderator stated he was going to take personal attacks off site and keep this to music only.... HELLO?

    ReplyDelete
  32. The Salvation Army Marching band is music, LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think I read that according to the contract they are obligated to let the city know the bands by 4/1 - I would hope the city wouldn't keep the info secret - so we all should know next week.

    ReplyDelete
  34. It will most likely be kept secret by the powers that be untill the official city announcement sometime in late May.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Get ZOSO to lockport!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Testament, Anthrax, Slayer, and Motorhead on the same bill :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Pat Benatar-not sure what date but heard that from a good source

    ReplyDelete
  38. "It will most likely be kept secret by the powers that be untill the official city announcement sometime in late May."

So it will be kept secret from 4/1 till late May!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I heard Priest and Maiden but it was my own voice that said it so it's not very reliable

    ReplyDelete
  40. Maiden has way too big of a stage production to be set up on that truck/stage in the city center parking lot. Don't get me wrong, that would be interesting t see there. They are playing Darien Lake this summer but not sure of the date.

    ReplyDelete
  41. It probably isn't a secret for anybody doing under the desk duty at One Locks Plaza.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Wouldn't mind seeing Dennis DeYoung (former STYX)again, I though his show was one of the most dynamic I've seen in Lockport

    ReplyDelete
  43. I agree. DDY does put on a great energetic show.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Bjorn Again, the ABBA tribute group

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think hootie and the blow fish or sugar ray would be great and our lady peace should deff come back

    ReplyDelete
  46. I heard the molson concerts are done that somthing new is brewing

    ReplyDelete
  47. I hope its a hot pot of coffee :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Instead of concerts they are going to focus on the arts. Possibly have a Mime Troupe or something similar.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Mime Troupe? If you wanna see a bunch of silent clowns dancing around you can go to city hall anytime to see that.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Queensryche should play again! Love them!

    ReplyDelete
  51. How about Uriah Heep?

    ReplyDelete
  52. The new "brew" is Labatt's. Molson will no longer be the sponsor.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Get newer bands!

    ReplyDelete
  54. No hootie and the blow fish! ^^^ Out with the old in with the new!!! Puddle of mudd was awesome last year!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Daryl Hall from Hall and Oats....

    ReplyDelete
  56. Labatts is a better beer anyway :)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Blue lite lime, please.

    ReplyDelete
  58. The Cult June 7 at the Harbor

    ReplyDelete
  59. I vote for Queensryche and Puddle of Mudd to return as well. Also like to see Jackyl

    ReplyDelete
  60. The Cult sounded great when they played here in 2009. Though I recall the promoter saying a year later they lost money on that show.

    ReplyDelete
  61. WE REALLY WANT EDDY MONEY,OR HOW ABOUT A CANADIAN SHOW WITH APRIL WINE AND HONEYMOON SUITE.. MAYBE LOVERBOY...

    ReplyDelete
  62. yeah, a Canadian show would be great...( partly because we do live so darn close to them)...I do agree, April Wine & Honeymoon Suite...Years ago they played Thursday at the square in Buffalo. So they probably toured together....

    ReplyDelete
  63. Rusted Root, Our Lady Peace, Jeff Martin/Tea Party, Queensryche, Eddie Money and 54-40 every concert season :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. April Wine is in Niagara Falls, Ontario June 2

    ReplyDelete
  65. is brad paisley comeing to the canal concert series in may and what date

    ReplyDelete
  66. Sophia Vergara

    ReplyDelete
  67. Dj Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince

    ReplyDelete
  68. The Monkeys. Oh nevermind, Davey Jones took the last train to clarksville.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Time for Blue Rodeo to come to town.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Brady Bunch or Partridge Family reunion tour would be awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I hope they don't switch to Labatt's, Molson is much better. How about Flying Bison? And a good metal show would be awesome, let's bring in someone like Overkill or Metal Church, classic 80's thrash metal.

    ReplyDelete
  72. What about The Cars? The Tubes? There's still three "Knacks" left...

We could use a good 'ol Canadian Irish bash with Great Big Sea, The Mahones, Enter the Haggis and The Town Pants! (But not necessarily in that order).

    ReplyDelete
  73. Or how about the original 3 pc. Corrosion of Conformity line up? They just released a new CD!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Overkill puts on a very intense light show to go along with their music. That would be pretty cool to see here.

    ReplyDelete
  75. The Rolling Stones are doing a 50 year anniversary tour this year, maybee they will show up.

    ReplyDelete
  76. big sugar would be awesome again

    ReplyDelete
  77. Overkill's song "welcome to the gutter" would be fitting for Lockport.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Tesla is due.

    ReplyDelete
  79. It might be a good idea to charge a small fee to get into the concert venue. I think it will keep alot of those teens that go in there for the purpose of causing trouble out of there. Besides, a good majority of them don't know the band on stage from the port-a-potties anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Raymond J. Johnson4/16/2012 8:01 PM

We don't care who plays during the season, it's all good to us. We sit on our porch and listen to the music and drink our own beer and eat our own food that was purchased at a more reasonable price. Seems to be alot safer that way than going into the venue and dealing with a ton of idiots. It's only going to be a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured of killed in there.

    ReplyDelete
  81. rumor of pat benatar probly not true.she is on tour this summer with journey and loverboy.

    ReplyDelete
  82. sure a matter of time...

its also a matter of time until Harrison is at full employment again....

    ReplyDelete
  83. Dumb dumb dumb who cares who comes get drunk won't remember who was playing anyways

    ReplyDelete
  84. Tom Fogerty puts on a really great show - saw him a few years back... with dare we dream John Mellancamp. Now that would be awesome!!!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Sammy Gravano4/18/2012 9:47 PM

The Beach Boys are on tour this Summer, maybee they will play Lockport.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Vinnie "the chin" Solerno4/19/2012 8:53 AM

    Goo Goo Dolls

    ReplyDelete
  87. County acts bring a HUGE crowd - just ask anyone who has been to Darien Lake to see any of the "Hell Raiser Tour" Acts like Toby Keith - they pack them in like sardines even in the pouring rain and they stay for the show cause its so much fun>>

    ReplyDelete
  88. Beach boys are at darien lake.

    ReplyDelete
  89. all i hear is whos coming...lets move it to outwater park where we can sit and enjoy the shows with room to move around...

    ReplyDelete
  90. That's the most sensable post made so far^^^^^

    ReplyDelete
  91. Totally agree!

    ReplyDelete
  92. How about a hip hop or rap concert?

    ReplyDelete
  93. 1) Outwater reduces the promoted side benefit of introducing people to the City of Lockport and promoting local business.

It would also be harder to clean up after and maintain the fields plus less parking and harder to secure.

Besides, rock shows are for standing....

    2) As for country, the promoter themselves said they have a hard time breaking even on country shows, for what ever reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  94. How about some blues Artist!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Only problem with blues or hip hop/rap... no one would show up.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Snoop Dog just did a show recently where they used a hollogram of Tupac on stage. with that kind of technology, the possibilities are endless. Maybee they can bring Elvis or Michael Jackson to Lockport now.

    ReplyDelete
  97. It's also a matter of time before the Bill's win the superbowl.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Warren Haynes!

    ReplyDelete
  99. I really would like to see most of the acts be ones that we haven't seen before; although Big Sugar was AMAZING, I'm sure they're busy this year...Blue Rodeo or April Wine would be great-Canadian bands...

    ReplyDelete
  100. Aaron Lewis acoustic.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Sam Roberts Band is playing Toronto Thursday July 26th....Hmmm

    ReplyDelete
  102. Wu-Tang Clan. Cash Rules Everything Around Me

    ReplyDelete
  103. The Go Go's

    ReplyDelete
  104. Hall & Oates!!!

    ReplyDelete
  105. I secant Warren Haynes

    ReplyDelete
  106. I called a psychic phone line today and they told me the headliners for this years season are going to be: The American Idol Tour, Adel, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, The Jonas Brothers, and Hanson.

    ReplyDelete
  107. "Promoting local business" Four bars, Two pizza places, Three diners, A pseudo Italian restaurant, Walgreens and Rite Aid. You mean Lockport is the only place to go to get that.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Lockport has a captive audience of 15,000 people every Friday during the summer. I have stated multiple times previously that it is a lost opportunity to show investment and growth, show benefits of visiting the area and to promote incentives to actually live and invest hear. Just because the city fails to do so at this time should not lead us to give up that opportunity

    ReplyDelete
  109. Bon iver or walk off the earth, please!

    ReplyDelete
  110. l m f a o " Snoop Dog just did a show recently where they used a hollogram of Tupac on stage. with that kind of technology, the possibilities are endless. Maybee they can bring Elvis or Michael Jackson to Lockport now.
    "

YEAH MAN. Lockport suddenly got rich enough to afford HOLOGRAM PROJECTION TECHNOLOGY THAT DOESN'T EVEN EXIST!!1111 Research into what you're talking about more.

Also who the hell wants to listen to a recorded version of a singer to a picture of them moving... that's called a music video.

    http://www.youtube.com/

No need to thank me. Just kneel.

    ReplyDelete
  111. BIG SUGAR and TEA PARTY!!!!!!!! Enough said.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Eddie Money is coming 6-27, per his own website.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Eddie is July 6.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Something big is brewing?
    New sponsor Tim Hortons?

    ReplyDelete
  115. thank you for the Eddie Money info

    ReplyDelete
  116. Warren Haynes! Warren Haynes! Warren Haynes! Warren Haynes!

    ReplyDelete
  117. to Sammy from the 18th of april...and the Beach Boys...you are right....they are touring and have a concert at Darien Lake on something around the 18th or so of july..go to there web site to confirm....p.s..... it would have been awesome to get them to lockport....

    ReplyDelete
  118. B.G. of Lockport...4/26/2012 11:01 PM

The Band The Whiskey Reverb looks like it is opening for Eddie Money on the 6th...according to Jam Base,,,,

    ReplyDelete
  119. More info...according to Songkick website...Huey lewis is playing Artpark on the 3rd of July...cross them off...and Peter frampton at Artpark on Aug 7th....way to go Paradowski asleep at the wheel.... as Artpark again has better shows for the second straight year....book the better bands sooner...if molson can't give you enough bank to score these bands....try Labbats...

    ReplyDelete
  120. Charlie Daniels, foreigner, and Kansas also @ Artpark this year.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Desert Storm 914/27/2012 2:59 AM

According to the contract, the city is to know by April 1st who is playing here. So why don't they just announce it already. Most of the other venues announced their lineups. It's a concert schedule, not covert military operations. Shouldn't be a big secret.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Most of the bands listed for Artpark have already played here. If there was a year for Artpark to charge it would have been last year's stronger lineup.

I believe the city is to be informed of bands signed by April 1st. Lineups can still change and the promoter wants the announcement closer to the actual series to retain the buzz. I don't blame them. I also don't blame us for wanting to know sooner and enjoying trying to find out ahead of time.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Bruce Springsteen and the e street band babbbbby i know they selll out every where but just pay um and lets a get a showww

    ReplyDelete
  139. "the kiss band from Lockport would b fun to c them on a bigger stage". Get real, LOL! The concerts are for real mucicians, not a bunch of middle age men in cheesy costumes lip-syncing and pretending to be something they're not. Keep that crap for Halloween.

    ReplyDelete
  140. musicians^^^^^^^^^

    ReplyDelete
  141. Rumor has it Canadian outfit Big Wreck will hit the stage on July 20.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Why is the city still hiding the schedule? Weren't they supposed to have it weeks ago?

    ReplyDelete
  143. The city does not release the schedule, the promoter does a few weeks before the start for reasons previously mentioned

    ReplyDelete
  144. Last time I seen the city did release the schedule. Lights, camera, action and MT was on the news in the UCC parking lot.

    ReplyDelete
  145. If anyone cares enough do a freedom of info act on them, it's in their possession it should be public knowledge.

    ReplyDelete
  146. LMFAO, lets get homeland security involved!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  147. YES @ Artpark July 17

    ReplyDelete
  148. Lou Gramm lead singer from Foreigner. He was here few years back during Thursday at the Sqauare. He is "The Foreigner". He's the Voice! His brothers were part of his group now. But there is no "Foreigner group" like Lou Gramm!

    ReplyDelete
  149. How about "Air Supply", a Neil Diamond Tribute Artist, or Styx?

    ReplyDelete
  150. Oh, I have one last suggestion, how about "Blue Oyster Cult?"

    ReplyDelete
  151. The whole lockport lineup except for 2 bands is posted on www.wnyorker.com pretty sad lineup this year if it's true :(

    ReplyDelete
  152. Who the heck is Govt. Mule?

    ReplyDelete
  153. June 29: Gov't Mule
    July 6: Eddie Money
    July 13:
    July 20: Big Wreck
    July 27:
    August 3: 54 40
August 10: George Thorogood and the Destroyers
    August 17: Kenny Wayne Shepherd
    August 24: Tea Party

    ReplyDelete
  154. who the heck is gov't mule? REALLY?????. And to the person that said thats a sad lineup. That lineup is the best lineup so far! Sorry our lady peace isnt coming back for the fifth time and you dont know good music. so sad!

    ReplyDelete
  155. Actually OLP is rumored to be the July 13 show...

    ReplyDelete
  156. I added the rumors to keep things interesting. WNYer may have obtained word of the city's April 1st list.

Well see as it moves forward. Official announcement is most likely less than 3 weeks away.

Saw gov't Mule once. Huge following (like Rusted root) though I got lost listening to the jam band style.

    ReplyDelete
  157. How about the meat puppets?

    ReplyDelete
  158. Yea really, who the heck is gov't mule?

    ReplyDelete
  159. I guess the promoter wanted to make sure that no non-Lockport citizens show up this year.

    ReplyDelete
  160. That's because the non-Lockport residents are dumb enough to spend 5 bucks on a beer.

    ReplyDelete
  161. B.G of Lockport5/03/2012 10:20 PM

false lineup...how can Our Lady Peace be playing here on the 13th of july when they are playing in Ottawa that night..according to there web site...

    ReplyDelete
  162. B.G of lockport5/03/2012 10:26 PM

Govt mule..who....not confirmed at there web site..they are in the area...that day is the only night possible as they leave for England in july...

    ReplyDelete
  163. Big Wreck....Who???? they are in the area but not confirmed at there web site...54-40...who??...unconfirmed at there web site...but in canada or the northeast around that date...George therogood....nice....in the area unconfirmed at his website...Kenny wayne shepard....again....no..no...no...in the area..unconfirmed on his website....tea party again.....no...unknown unconfirmed at there sight....to the promoter...this lineup... if it holds up...is the worst yet.....unless the open dates has .38 special....to bring it up to a okay level....otherwise...it is a waste of tax money to support a lackluster series....of bands....what happened to bands like Reo...1st year...Charlie Daniels...3rd season

    ReplyDelete
  164. very disappointing lineup if it holds up, but there is slim pickins after Artpark snatches up all the good classic rock.
Big Wreck may not only be the best band on the list, their name describes the lineup! lol

    ReplyDelete
  165. That lineup looks more like someones wishlist.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Why not see if Burton Cummings would come back. I thought his last year's show was the best I've seen in Lockport ever.

    ReplyDelete
  167. To whoever said this is the best lineup so far are you kidding me? I know Molson is our sponsor, but how many canadian bands do we need? The Tea Party is good, but they just played here last year hopefully Jeff Martin doesn't blow out his voice this time! I agree with the July 20th show cuz this lineup is a Big Wreck.Hopefully we get a new promoter next year Kathy must go!

    ReplyDelete
  168. Great bands if you actually like music.

    ReplyDelete
  169. That's because the Canadians are dumb enough to come over here and spend 5 dollars for a beer.

    ReplyDelete
  170. People need to shut up and just enjoy the music. Quit complaining about the lineup. ITS FREE!!!!!!!!!!! You people kill me. the promoter can never win. People have to find something to complain about! This lineup looks pretty good compared to other years, so just sit down, have a beer, shut up, and groove to the FREE music!

    ReplyDelete
  171. This was never meant to be a "classic rock" line up people...I'm in my 50s and I follow / listen to a few of these bands....open your minds get out of the 70s and quit bitching!

    ReplyDelete

  173. That's why WNY will never progress and grow with the rest of the country. MOST of the people here, their minds are still stuck in the 1970's and 80's.

  174. Sorry, all of our FM/8-track tuner knobs have broken off at 96.9 ;)

  175. Where are the Big names in this lineup? George Thorogood has some big hits and maybe Eddie Money & The Tea Party besides that alot of people have never even heard of these bands.Lockport went cheap this year i would rather see Our lady Peace & Queensryche every year then have a lineup like this.Hopefully the last 2 spots are big names!

  176. Govt. Mule and EddieMoney are listedunder 2011 but isn't that 2012?

    ReplyDelete
  177. yup, typo from copying over last years post.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Gov't mule is a long standing Allman Brothers Band side project. Does this appease the 97 Rock crowd?

    ReplyDelete
  179. Actually a good lineup... Gov't Mule will be fantastic. Eddie Money was drunk as hell the last time he was here and it was entertaining. Big Wreck is going to be AMAZING and some of you will wonder where you've been without hearing these guys. 54-40 will be fun. How can you not like Thorohgood?? Kenny Wayne Shepherd is just fantastic live, saw him with Page and the Crowes in 2000, and Tea Party will be amazing as well... I see nothing wrong with this lineup unless you hate music or have a very small spectrum of music you listen to.

  180. This lineup so far is not good. People saying "it's free so shut up!" who cares? So if a Village People cover band played for free it would be good? I'd have to start smoking pot to enjoy this music, much like their followers

  181. Tax payer of Lockport5/04/2012 8:33 PM

this is the worst lineup of repeats this concert series could possibly have...shame on the promoter who cashes any type of check...

    ReplyDelete
  182. It's free so I'm sure people are gonna show up anyway regardless of who is onstage. That very large group of teens that are way in the back by the port a johns kicking around that little rubber ball every year are probably not gonna miss a Friday evening.

    ReplyDelete
  183. Is that all there is?

    ReplyDelete
  184. better lower ticket prices cause the bands so far suck come on keep up w the joness seriously

    ReplyDelete
  185. I like the possible line up.....to all the negative comments ...pretty simple don't go.

    ReplyDelete
  186. This is why they emphasize every year to support the sponsors. They don't make any money from the cheapo's that go there and don't buy something to eat or drink. The less money the sponsors provide reflect on the entertainment provided. You think bands like REO, STYX, and Queensryche, Skynyrd, Pat Benatar or any other big name group are going to play for nothing?

    ReplyDelete
  187. Govt Mule is sweeeeeeeet. They'll get new fans from here for sure. If some of the negative Nancy's listen to em, they'll realize their better than half of their favorites. Big names? I watched The Who on the Super Bowl halftime show and it was one of the worst live performances ever. I'd rather listen to good music, than join some of the nostalgic geezers reminiscing about when their complaining skills were just getting weened.

  188. I just heard Govt. Mule for the first time yesterday. Geat music. Should be a good show.

    ReplyDelete
  189. I can't believe all the idiots on here saying that this is the worst lineup yet. LOL. You people need to realize it's not 1983 anymore and expand your horizons. If you knew anything about good music or were able to appreciate it you would realize that your going to be able to witness three great guitarist with Kenny Wayne, Gov't Mule, and George Thorogood. I know they play Eddie Money on 97 rock so I'm confused at all the complaining. Sorry it's not Queensryche...PUKE. You will also get the opportunity to hear two great vocalist in the Tea Party as well as Big Wreck. But even though Big Wreck could very well be the best show this year, They have only been around since the late nineties and just released a new album, so there probably to much of a new band for you. Stop complaining about FREE concerts.

  190. I guess some people expect to see bands like KISS, AC/DC, the Stones and Aerosmith to play a free show in Lockport. Like that will ever happen.

    ReplyDelete
  191. Finger Eleven is playing a Free show outside of Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls,NY August 11th it's posted on their website. This is who i wanted Lockport to get once again our promoter dropped the ball great job Kathy!

  192. Isn't the promoter the owner of a "gentlemans" club in Buffalo, and also, was she on the Niagara County SPCA board of directors? If so, that should tell the rest of us something.

    ReplyDelete
  193. Just found this website, I'm from Canada and will be coming for more than half these shows with about 20 friends. Great lineup and everyone up here is more excited about Lockport than Artpark. Tea Party closing out will be sick and Big Wreck will be a treat for those that haven't heard them. Good job to the promoters for staying current.

  194. Another reason for me not to go ^^^^^

    ReplyDelete
  195. So much for Lockport being tourist friendly ^^^^^^

    ReplyDelete
  196. Big Wreck!!!! Whooooooooooooooooo!! Best news I've heard since they took the South block from Elmer.

    ReplyDelete
  197. I Guarantee there will be more trouble and more arrests this, year than any other year, because of these bands and who it will attract. I'm not knocking fans of these bands, but there will be a lot of out of control people

    ReplyDelete
  198. The promoter is probably catering to the Canadian crowd because they're the only ones stupid enough to come here and buy 5 dollar beers. Can't wait to watch the fights at lock 34 and watch the LPD actually work for their money on friday nights :)
