I now wish it was larger.
And, yes, the first week it held a bowling ball.
This thing is going to take off like wild fire to the point where not only will we NOT pay "tipping fees," we'll be making money. They look a hell of a lot better than bags and misc. containers at the curb. Pretty good if you ask me!!Xavierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09429144556094825478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5926052286620522481.post-7913112403746900432011-10-11T14:21:00.554-04:002011-10-11T14:21:00.554-04:00I filled my recycling tote to the brim. What a breath of fresh air. ONE guy drives the truck and, at the end of the dump, makes sure the tote is back on the grass.
I'm not "into" garbage, but I was very impressed with how quickly it was done - with ONE guy doing it.Xavierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09429144556094825478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5926052286620522481.post-69764578023674507682011-10-11T08:28:48.022-04:002011-10-11T08:28:48.022-04:00Received my bins yesterday. A lot of them were still street side when I arrived home and street looked 100x better than it usually does on garbage day.

I'm surprised how large the 94 gallon tote it. I does appear like it would hold 6 stuffed 13 gallon kitchen bags.

I did not fill up the recycling tote yesterday but it felt great to use it. Something about the tote that makes it a better "experience" than the open small bins that I had while in Lancaster.MJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08897623569897105078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5926052286620522481.post-24114073958301720362011-10-10T19:27:27.219-04:002011-10-10T19:27:27.219-04:00I wouldn't take the former garbage guy's s...I wouldn't take the former garbage guy's statement as law.
They will be assigned according to what is needed at the time.
Not one "tote" has been picked up yet (I don't think) so let's give them a little time to see how it goes. In the beginning I ASSUME that there will still be plenty of garbage related work to do - like picking up people's OLD garbage cans.
My garbage day is Tuesday. I filled the recycling tote to the brim, and that's a very good thing.Xavierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09429144556094825478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5926052286620522481.post-17011766478965828892011-10-10T13:07:30.658-04:002011-10-10T13:07:30.658-04:00As an example of why Allen/Tucker are terrible man...As an example of why Allen/Tucker are terrible managers, you left out a telling quote from the article.
The employee only has a few days of garbage collecting to do but he stated that none of them knew what their new duties were going to be.

Don't you think a plan should have been in place and communicated what they were going to do with these obviously excess employees?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
